Hospitality Saskatchewan Tourism Awards
The Hospitality Saskatchewan Tourism Awards celebrate and foster excellence across the province’s tourism industry. These awards honour the people, places, businesses, organizations, and events that consistently go above and beyond to deliver exceptional tourism experiences to both visitors and residents.

Eligibility Criteria

Applications are open to all organizations and businesses that support Saskatchewan’s tourism industry.

Organizations and businesses may self-nominate or be nominated by a third party.

Tourism Rookie of the Year Award
The Tourism Rookie of the Year Award recognizes emerging talent within the tourism sector. This special honour celebrates organizations that have made significant contributions and achieved early success with a new tourism business, event, or service. Eligible nominees must have launched after January 1, 2024..

Nomination Process

Nomination Deadline: Friday, July 11, 2025.

Awards Presentation: Winners will be announced at the annual Gather Again Conference, held at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Nominations must be completed using the official form and submitted before the deadline.

All nominations must adhere to both the general eligibility requirements and any category-specific criteria.

Each nomination must be original for the current year and award category.

Hospitality Saskatchewan reserves the right to re-categorize or reject nominations that do not meet the rules, criteria, or spirit of the awards program.

Applicants must inform nominees that they are being nominated.

Evaluation

Nominations will be confidentially reviewed and scored by an independent Award Selection Committee.

Any committee member with a conflict of interest will withdraw from judging the affected category.

The Award Selection Committee will select up to three finalists for each award category (excluding the Tourism Builder Award).

Finalists will be notified by mail approximately one month prior to the Hospitality Saskatchewan Awards Dinner.

Award Criteria: Recognizes a Saskatchewan business, partnership, organization, event, or attraction that has demonstrated innovation, ingenuity, hard work and perseverance to establish a strong, viable and successful new business in the tourism sector. The recipient of this award will be an entity that was launched after January 1, 2022.

Describe the nominee and provide an overview as to why this nominee is deserving of the Rookie of the Year Award. For example…

Demonstrate that the nominee has developed a new tourism business, event or service that is innovative and/or unique.
Demonstrate that the nominee is committed to customer/visitor/participant satisfaction, and is committed to growth, innovation, and development.
