Hospitality Saskatchewan Awards: Celebrating Excellence in Tourism

The Hospitality Saskatchewan Awards celebrate and promote excellence across our province’s vibrant tourism sector. These prestigious awards honour the people, places, businesses, organizations, and events that consistently deliver exceptional tourism experiences to both visitors and residents.

Eligibility
Nominations are open to individuals, businesses, and organizations that contribute to the growth and success of Saskatchewan’s tourism industry.

Eligible activities must have taken place between July 31, 2024, and June 30, 2025.

Nominations may be submitted by a third party or through self-nomination.

Nomination Process

Deadline: All nominations must be submitted by Friday, July 11, 2025.

Awards will be presented during the Gather Again Conference at Prairieland Park, Saskatoon on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Nominations must be completed using the official form and submitted before the deadline.

All nominations must meet the general eligibility requirements and any category-specific criteria.

Submissions must be original for each year and category. Hospitality Saskatchewan reserves the right to reassign categories or reject nominations that do not align with the awards’ spirit or requirements.

Nominees must be informed of their nomination prior to submission.

Evaluation
All nominations will be confidentially reviewed and evaluated by an independent Award Selection Committee.

Committee members will recuse themselves from judging any category where a conflict of interest exists.

A maximum of three finalists will be selected for each award category (excluding the Tourism Builder Award). Finalists will be notified by mail approximately one month before the awards dinner.

Award Criteria: Presented to the front-line employee whose professionalism, dedication, attitude, and quality of service best exemplify excellence in the tourism industry. Owner/operators and senior management personnel are not eligible for this award.

Briefly describe the nominee and provide an overview as to why this nominee is deserving of the Tourism Employee of the Year Award. For example…

  • Demonstrate that the nominee exhibits a winning attitude and dedication towards his/her duties and exhibits leadership qualities that promote co-operation and teamwork among his/her colleagues.
  • Demonstrate that the nominee maintains exemplary work standards in his/her position, and regularly goes above and beyond the normal requirements of his/her duties for the benefit of his/her organization.
