2024 TOURISM BUILDER AWARD NOMINATION FORM

The Hospitality Saskatchewan Awards recognize and foster excellence in our province’s tourism industry. These industry
awards honour people, places, businesses, organizations, and events that go above and beyond to offer superior tourism
experiences to visitors and residents.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applications will be accepted from all individuals, organizations or businesses that support the Saskatchewan tourism
industry.

Nominations are based on activities completed between July 31, 2023, and June 30, 2024 (except for the Tourism Builder
Award, which recognizes activities over a prolonged period).

Organizations or businesses may be self‐nominated or nominated by another party.

NOMINATION PROCESS

THE NOMINATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY JULY 12, 2024. Awards will be presented at the annual Gather Again Conference at the Conexus Arts Centre Regina on Tuesday September 24th.

Nominations must be completed on this form and submitted prior to the deadline.

Nominations must adhere to the general eligibility criteria and category‐specific criteria. Nominations must be original each year and in each category. Hospitality Saskatchewan reserves the right to re-categorize or reject nominations that do not meet these rules or criteria, or the spirit of the awards program.

Nominees must be advised by the applicant that they are being nominated for a Hospitality Saskatchewan Award.

EVALUATION

Nominations will be reviewed and scored by an external Award Selection Committee, except for the Tourism Builder
Award.

Nominations received for the Tourism Builder Award will be screened to ensure eligibility requirements have been met.
Once they have been screened, they will be reviewed by a team of industry veterans, and a member of Hospitality
Saskatchewan’s Board of Directors. A maximum of three Tourism Builder Awards will be presented.

Award Criteria: This individual has made tourism an important part of their life’s work, and their actions have had a positive impact on the industry they serve. Tourism Builders have helped to shape our sector as a vibrant contributor to the economy and position Saskatchewan as a welcoming destination.

Nominees for the Tourism Builder Award should be individuals who have:

Dedicated the majority of their professional career to the tourism sector;
Made an outstanding personal contribution to the tourism sector;
Helped to create growth in Saskatchewan’s tourism sector through innovation, astute business practices and the development of new opportunities;
Demonstrated leadership in the industry through their engagement with tourism partners at the local, provincial and/or national levels;
Created a positive legacy within their business/organization, as well as among their industry colleagues.
