Hospitality Saskatchewan Awards: Honouring Excellence in Tourism

The Hospitality Saskatchewan Awards celebrate and encourage outstanding achievement in Saskatchewan’s tourism industry. These awards recognize the people, places, businesses, organizations, and events that go above and beyond to deliver exceptional tourism experiences to visitors and residents alike.

Eligibility
Nominations are open to individuals, organizations, and businesses that contribute to the success and growth of Saskatchewan’s tourism sector.

Self-nominations and nominations by third parties are both welcome.

The Tourism Builder Award specifically honours individuals whose contributions have spanned a significant period, leaving a lasting impact on the industry.

Nomination Process

Deadline: All nominations must be submitted by Friday, July 11, 2025.

Awards will be presented at the Gather Again Conference at Prairieland Park, Saskatoon on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Nominations must be submitted using the official form and must be received by the deadline.

All nominations must meet both the general eligibility criteria and any specific criteria for the selected category.

Each nomination must be newly prepared for the current year and category.

Hospitality Saskatchewan reserves the right to reassign categories or reject nominations that do not meet the stated criteria or the spirit of the awards program.

Applicants must inform their nominees that they are being nominated.

Evaluation
Nominations will be confidentially assessed by an external Award Selection Committee, with the exception of the Tourism Builder Award.

For the Tourism Builder Award: Nominations will first be screened to ensure eligibility requirements are met.

Eligible nominations will then be reviewed by a team of seasoned industry veterans and a representative from Hospitality Saskatchewan’s Board of Directors.

A maximum of three Tourism Builder Awards will be presented.

Award Criteria: This individual has made tourism an important part of their life’s work, and their actions have had a positive impact on the industry they serve. Tourism Builders have helped to shape our sector as a vibrant contributor to the economy and position Saskatchewan as a welcoming destination.

Nominees for the Tourism Builder Award should be individuals who have:

Dedicated the majority of their professional career to the tourism sector;
Made an outstanding personal contribution to the tourism sector;
Helped to create growth in Saskatchewan’s tourism sector through innovation, astute business practices and the development of new opportunities;
Demonstrated leadership in the industry through their engagement with tourism partners at the local, provincial and/or national levels;
Created a positive legacy within their business/organization, as well as among their industry colleagues.
